After you have had your family interview, completed the registration paperwork, and paid the $100.00 registration fee, we will begin the process of matching the right candidate with your family’s needs. We will set up an interview with you and the potential candidate. SCNDS will provide you with a list of tips, suggestions, and sample interview questions for the interview. After you have your interview with the candidate, please call our office and let us know how things went. Once you have chosen a candidate that you feel would be the best match for your family, we will set up a paid trial period with you and the candidate. The trial period can be anywhere from one day to two weeks. If and when both the family and the candidate feel that they are a match, we will move forward with the agency placement contract and fees. A start date will be established and you now have the option to sign a contract between you (the client) and the candidate (employee). We highly suggest that a client/employee contract have fair terms of employment. This contract should have an explanation of the expectations about duties, hours, wages, benefits, taxes that will be paid, raises, incentives, and a liability release. SCNDS will provide you with a sample contract. The key to a positive and good working relationship is communication.
Temporary or Short-Term Placement: The definition of a temporary placement is an arrangement in which a client employs the same domestic professional for a set amount of hours and duration for a period up to eleven months. The fee that SCNDS charges for temporary placements is 18% of the domestic professional’s cumulative salary or wages. As soon as the start date is established the agency fees will be due and need to be paid in full. The salary or hourly rate is determined by you (the client) and the candidate (employee). SCNDS can provide our clients with information about current competitive market wages. If there is a change from the original placement by an increase in hours, SCNDS will bill you accordingly: the total increase in salary or wages multiplied by 18%.
Long-Term Placement: The definition of a long term placement is an arrangement in which a client employs the same domestic professional for a set amount of hours and duration and a period of twelve months or more. The fee that SCNDS charges for long term placements is 10% of the domestic professional’s yearly salary or wages. As soon as the start date is established the agency fees will be due and need to be paid in full. The salary or hourly rate is determined by you (the client) and the candidate (employee). SCNDS can provide our clients with information about current competitive market wages. If there is a change from the original placement by an increase in hours, SCNDS will bill you accordingly: the total increase in salary or wages multiplied by 10%.
Trial Period Fees:
